Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Analytical Psychology & Couples Therapy
in Stockholm and Online
Psychotherapy is offered both at the practice in central Stockholm and online via secure
video sessions.
Licensed psychotherapist with extensive and long-standing international clinical experience.
Here you are offered a space to be listened to – a space to put words to what is going on within you, whether it concerns current stressors or past experiences that continue to affect your quality of life, your relationships, or your professional development.
In my work, the inner reality (inner experiences, emotional and unconscious processes) is given the same attention as the outer reality – concrete life circumstances, relationships, professional demands, and social contexts. Psychotherapy here means bringing these two levels into dialogue in order to enable sustainable change.
Give yourself a new opportunity – and set a clear course for your life.
Psychotherapy in Stockholm – individual, in-depth and grounded
in real life
I offer in-person psychotherapy in Stockholm for individuals and couples, including international clients. My work integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy with analytical psychology according to C. G. Jung, with a clear grounding in the client’s lived reality.
Psychotherapy here is not solely about symptom relief, but about developing a deeper understanding of inner dynamics, relational patterns, and biographical imprints. At the same time, it is important to me that therapeutic insights become effective in everyday life – in relationships, professional life, and in the relationship with oneself.
Online psychotherapy
Psychotherapy can also be conducted online via video sessions. The therapeutic approach is adapted to enable the same psychological presence, continuity, and therapeutic depth as in face-to-face sessions.
The online format is particularly suitable for clients who are not located in Stockholm, for international clients, as well as for individuals with high professional responsibility, limited time flexibility, or physical mobility limitations.
Sessions take place via a professional and secure video platform and follow the same ethical and clinical frameworks as psychotherapy at the practice.
Psychological support for professional responsibility and development
A particular focus of my work lies in psychological support for individuals with high levels of professional responsibility.
I support clients with:
- complex decision-making processes
- long-term responsibility and chronic strain
- role conflicts and responsibility dilemmas
- self-regulation, emotional resilience, and inner clarity
- professional transitions, reorientation, and development
This work often takes place within clearly focused, time-limited therapeutic settings and requires the ability to foster psychological clarity, stability, and capacity for action even within a limited number of sessions – without losing depth.
Areas in which I can support you therapeutically
Psychotherapeutic support can be helpful for clearly defined issues as well as for more diffuse or complex states of psychological strain. Common areas include, among others:
- work-related stress, responsibility, and role issues
- decision-making under pressure, overload, and professional conflicts
- anxiety, inner tension, and persistent worry
- stress, exhaustion, and burnout
- crises, loss, grief, and loneliness
- distressing memories and inner blockages
- attachment- and relationship-related themes
- couple conflicts and relationship crises
- neurodivergence, including autism spectrum conditions and ADHD
- intercultural challenges and identity issues
- LGBTQ+-related topics
- psychosomatic complaints
- depressive phases, low mood, and emotional fluctuations
- existential questions, life transitions, and midlife themes
Sometimes the issue is not an acute crisis, but a sense of being stuck or of recurring patterns limiting development. In such cases as well, psychotherapy can offer a meaningful space.
Couples therapy – understanding the relationship, making patterns visible, finding new paths
I offer couples therapy for couples in different phases of life – in acute relationship crises as well as in situations of gradual distancing or recurring conflicts. The focus lies on understanding relational patterns, emotional dynamics, and the ability to meet each other again – beyond blame, accusations, and rigid roles. Couples therapy integrates in-depth psychological perspectives, including IMAGO-oriented approaches combined with clinical sexological expertise. Common themes include closeness and distance, sexuality, trust, vulnerability, communication, and life-cycle transitions.
My therapeutic approach
My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy and analytical psychology according to C. G. Jung. The focus lies on unconscious processes, inner images, affective experiences, and relational patterns that influence how we experience and act.
The therapeutic conversation may be complemented by dream and symbolic work, affect-focused processing, and body-based awareness. The aim is to make inner connections conscious and to enable sustainable psychological development.
At the same time, I work in a structured, clear, and reality-oriented manner, making therapy effective both in longer processes and in time-limited therapeutic settings.
Methods and therapeutic orientations

- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Professional background and extensive experience
I am a licensed psychotherapist with long-standing experience, based in Stockholm.
I am licensed by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). In addition, I hold equivalent licensure as a psychotherapist in Germany and Switzerland. In both countries, I was affiliated with their health insurance systems and held psychiatric-diagnostic competence.
My analytical training was completed at the C. G. Jung Institute in Küsnacht/Zurich, where I underwent an extensive clinical and theoretical training over approximately seven years. This included long-term personal analysis, continuous supervision both individually and in groups, and the acquisition of broad clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings, working with my own clients. For two years, I also conducted personality-development dialogues with students at IMD Business School in Lausanne.
Subsequently, I worked for over ten years in private psychotherapeutic practice in Zurich with an international client base as well as the local population. This was followed by 15 years of clinical practice in my own practice in Kiel (Germany), connected to both the public and private healthcare systems.
My professional experience across different countries and healthcare systems has shaped my ability to combine in-depth psychological precision with pragmatic and situationally adaptive clinical practice.
International healthcare networks and collaborations
In addition to my private practice and online therapy, I collaborate with international corporate healthcare networks.
Work with international clients takes place primarily online and is adapted to different time zones, languages, and cultural contexts.

Psychotherapy and counselling are offered in:

Teaching analyst work & lectures
In addition to her psychotherapeutic practice, Annika Sahlée is also active as a lecturer in a one-year foundational course in Jungian psychology according to C. G. Jung in Sweden and serves as a teaching analyst for participants in the program. This teaching-analytic work complements her clinical practice and reflects her extensive experience and deep grounding in Jungian psychology.
Annika Sahlée has also given, and continues to give, lectures, courses, and seminars on topics such as dream interpretation and Authentic Movement, which forms part of the more creative methods within Jungian psychology.
In Germany, Annika Sahlée also founded an association for Jungian psychology in northern Germany (Schleswig-Holstein), for which she served as chair during the initial years. Various seminars, lectures, and gatherings were organized within this framework.
