Self-assessment on sexuality and intimacy – a first orientation
Sexuality changes over a lifetime – with relationships, life stages, stress and our own bodies. Sometimes questions arise that are hard to put into words.
This self-assessment offers a protected space to sort out for yourself what is on your mind.
It is suitable for individuals and for people in a relationship. The self-assessment does not label any sexual experience as normal or abnormal. It invites you to look at the bigger picture with curiosity.
How the self-assessment works
You respond to short statements about how you currently experience sexuality and intimacy. They cover desire, body experience, communication about sex, boundaries and safety, the relationship context, and questions of identity and orientation.
You decide which statements you answer. Every question can be skipped.
What the feedback shows
The feedback helps you distinguish between different themes: is it mainly about desire, communication, the body, the relationship – or several levels at once?
It also shows where sexual therapy, individually or as a couple, might begin.
If you experience pain or other physical symptoms, a medical assessment is advisable as well. Sexual therapy and medical care complement each other.

Frequently asked questions about the sexuality self-assessment
Can I skip questions?
Yes. Every statement is optional. The feedback only refers to the areas you have answered.
Is the self-assessment suitable for all sexual orientations and relationship forms?
Yes. The statements are openly worded and do not assume any particular orientation, identity or relationship form.
Can I use the self-assessment without a partner?
Yes. Many questions about your own sexuality can be explored on your own. If you are in a relationship, you can discuss the results together later.
